Terms of Use
Last updated August 2026. This is a Chord app policy page written in plain language — it is not legal advice.
Who can use Chord
You must be 18 or older. Chord is currently in a private beta: creating an account requires a single-use invite code issued to your email address. Invite codes are personal and must not be shared or resold.
How you agree to behave
No harassment, hate speech, threats, impersonation, spam, sexual content involving minors, or sharing other people's private information. We may remove content, restrict features, or close accounts that break these rules.
Subscriptions
On iOS and Android, Chord Premium is sold and billed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. Cancellations, refunds, and renewals are handled by the app store on your device, not by Chord. Your entitlement is verified with RevenueCat on our servers.
Real-world outings and third-party links
Links to restaurants, tickets, or other bookings send you to external third-party services. Chord does not process those payments and is not responsible for those services, their pricing, or their policies.
Closing your account
You can delete your account or export your data at any time from Profile → Your data. Deletion removes your profile, ends your chats, and deletes your uploaded media; it cannot be undone.
No warranties
Chord is provided as-is during the private beta. Features may change or be removed. Nothing here is legal advice.
